The Gaza Tribunal is a people’s tribunal established in London in November 2024. Its first public hearings were held in Sarajevo between 26–29 May 2025, while the final session took place in Istanbul from 23–26 October 2025. The Tribunal has been chaired by Richard Falk, former UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories and President of the Gaza Tribunal.

The four-day Sarajevo hearings were attended by approximately 800 participants, including 55 lawyers, academics, and expert witnesses, forming the ethical and methodological foundation of the Tribunal.

The four-day final session in Istanbul brought together approximately 3,000 participants, featuring testimonies from 70 experts and victims, as well as Witness Eye video testimonies. Throughout both the Sarajevo and Istanbul sessions, more than one hundred victim and expert testimonies were heard through hearings, live broadcasts, and recorded submissions, reflecting broad international participation.

In its Final Verdict announced in Istanbul on 26 October 2025, the Jury of Conscience found that the occupying state and those aiding it are responsible for ongoing genocide and related crimes, including starvation, ecocide, the systematic destruction of homes (domicide), attacks on healthcare, journalists, and education, as well as the destruction of civilian life.

In the next phase, the Gaza Tribunal will continue to present its findings to governments, heads of state, and foreign ministers worldwide, and to disseminate them across parliaments, the United Nations, multilateral platforms, universities, and civil society.

Furthermore, the decisions and evidence gathered will contribute to ongoing proceedings before the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
