ICYF is Looking for a Project Expert for Its MOIC Student Clubs Project Coordinatorship

The Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) is looking for a project expert to join its MOIC Student Clubs Project team. This position will be responsible for assisting on planning and implementation of all the projects under MOIC Student Clubs Project Coordinatorship. This position will be also responsible to create new MOIC Clubs across the world and coordinate all the activities of established MOIC Clubs under the supervision of the project coordinator.

Job Description:

A project expert for MOIC Student Clubs Project will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Assisting on planning and implementation of all the projects under MOIC Coordinatorship’s responsibilities.
  • Support all networking and MOIC related sub-project activities in OIC Region
  • Coordinate internal and inter-institutional (with the equivalent department/coordinatorship only) meetings, actively attend them and prepare meeting minutes
  • Supervise interns (If asked by the manager): give weekly tasks, follow them regularly, provide feedback on each task, take weekly reports and weekly attendance, evaluate their performance quarterly
  • Assisting media and communication coordinatorship for social media accounts of the coordinatorship, follow the updates on website, give duties accordingly
  • Provide comprehensive support on both establishing new MOIC Student Clubs within the OIC Region and preparing and implementing educational activates for MOIC Students network (including the utilization of LMS system)
  • Draft and finalize work plans for submission
  • Performing other relevant duties as require.

Job Requirement:

  • Holding citizenship from one of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is a must
  • University degree (Preferably from social sciences)
  • Excellent command (both oral and written) of English (Additional language skill is an asset)
  • Good communicative skills
  • Ability to priorities, efficient time management, good planning skills
  • Having experience in both volunteering activities and/or youth NGOs is an asset
  • Having experience in diplomatic simulations like MOIC or MUN is an asset.
  • No obstacle to travel both in Turkey and to abroad
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

The Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), is an international organization comprising of 56 member countries affiliated to the OIC that represents Muslim youth around the world. ICYF spearheads youth activities in various countries in the OIC region and beyond and coordinates activities that aim to defend the interests of youth, support sustainable development, promote education and Islamic moral values among the youth, and contribute to the development of intercultural and inter-civilizational dialogue.

About MOIC Student Clubs Project

Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation (MOIC) Student Clubs Project is an international and volunteer based long-term ICYF project that creates a student club network across the world, where youth of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) region gather and participates in MOIC events that are designed to improve the academic, diplomatic, and social skills of the youth. In this context, as of 2022, there are MOIC university representatives in a total of 392 universities in 52 different countries. Within this project MOIC Student Clubs Project has two main pillars:

MOIC Simulation: It is an academic simulation of the OIC that aims at training participants about current trends in theory and practice of international relations, effective communication, and multilateral diplomacy.

MOIC Academy: MOIC Academy is a virtual platform runs within ‘icyfacademy.org’ that allows MOIC club members to attend training and classes and receive certificates at the end of any certification program. It is a unique system that brings all MOIC Clubs in the world together and offers a common experience. Materials in this unique platform is prepared by the ICYF MOIC Academic Board.
