Mr. ALAGIE JARJU has a career working for and with young people spanning for more than two decades. This is due to his interest champion the full participation of young people in the countries socio-economic development and by extension their own advancement.
He has held previous leadership roles in organisations including the Gambia Red Cross Society Youth Commission, Activista The Gambia as Board Chairperson for 5 (five) years and the Gambia College Students Union to name but a few. He has equally represented young people of The Gambia in several high level fora at the International level at ECOWAS, AU and the UN.
Mr. JARJU is currently the Executive Director of the National Youth Council. Before his appointment as Executive Director, he has previously served for as its Programme Manager for 5 (five) years.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Finance from the University of the Gambia and a Higher Teachers Certificate from the Gambia College. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree Programme in Public Administration.
