Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan is a distinguished youth leader from Pakistan, currently serving as the Founder-CEO of the Youth Advocacy Network (YAN) Pakistan and elected as the Vice President (Asia Group) of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF). With over 15 years of experience across International Development, Human Rights, Peace Intercultural Dialogue, Social Entrepreneurship, Climate Change, and Life Skills Based Education (LSBE), Mr. Hassan is committed to fostering meaningful youth participation in global and national policy-making Processes.

Educationally, Mr. Hassan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a Master’s in Sociology with a focus on Gender Studies, and a Post-graduate certification in International Development. His academic and professional journey has been marked by a deep involvement in policy advocacy, lobbying, and moderating sessions at high-level forums and conferences worldwide. He serves as convener of the SAARC Youth Platform, a subregional body of the United Nations Major Group of Children and Youth (UNMGCY). He is a member of the board of trustees of the internationally recognized Muslim charity Muslim Hands Canada.

Mr. Hassan’s contributions have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Youth Excellence Award for Social Entrepreneurship and Humanitarian Work, presented by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Notably, he chaired the groundbreaking South Asian Regional Youth Conference (SARYC), which centered on the Role of South Asian Youth in the Post-2015 Development Agenda and creation of SAARC Youth Platform. His influence extends to international platforms, having represented Pakistan at various United Nations events, including the UN General Assembly, and serving as a keynote speaker at the Asia Pacific Sessions of the UN ECOSOC Youth Forum. He has actively worked with the Commonwealth Youth Council as a committee member of the Asian Region from 2018-2022.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hassan has been a tireless advocate for youth rights, playing a key role in shaping the National Youth Policy in Pakistan. His leadership in YAN has led to the organization receiving the Youth Solidarity Fund award from the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAoC) for the initiative “Talab-E-Aman (Students of Peace).”

Mr. Hassan’s dedication to youth empowerment has not only earned him recognition but has also positioned him as a leading voice for youth in Pakistan and beyond, as evidenced by his involvement in various youth-focused initiatives, including the Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network, and the National SDGs Alliance etc.
