I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of my dear friend H.E. Azad Rahimov, Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan. In this time of grief and mourning, on behalf of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) and on my own behalf I express my deep condolences and commiseration to the family, the Brotherly People, and the Government of Azerbaijan. The ICYF mourns the irreparable loss of the visionary leader and statesman. His devotion to Azerbaijan, its development, and to the care of youth was an inspiration. Being a longstanding supporter of the ICYF and its activities, the Late Minister has contributed a lot to the development and execution of various key projects for the upliftment of the Muslim youth. He left a profound legacy, not only in Azerbaijan but across the Muslim world and beyond. His leadership and outstanding endowment to the development of youth will remain forever in memories with deep admiration and respect.
