During 2001-2007, Mr. Rasul Omarov has completed his bachelor and master’s degrees in Baku State University in the fields of Oriental Studies, Arabic Language and Literature. He also got his second master’s degree from the University of Jordan in the field of Political Science and Diplomacy between 2012 – 2013.
Between 2009-2019 he has served in Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and diplomatic missions in embassies of Azerbaijan in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
In December 2018, he was appointed by the ICYF President as the Director-General of the ICYF and was elected by the 3rd ICYF General Assembly as a member of the ICYF Executive Board (representing the Secretariat).
