On the margins of the Marrakesh OIC Youth Capital 2025, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco, in collaboration with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), convened a Training Workshop on “Youth Legislation and Multiple Approaches” on 22 October 2025 in Marrakesh. The opening ceremony brought together about 100 youth leaders and experts from 22 OIC Member States, who came together to exchange ideas on how to harmonise youth-related legislation across the Muslim world. The speakers addressing the Opening Session included Mr. Rasul Omarov, the ICYF Director-General, Mrs Shinnaib Leinah, the representative of the League of Arab States, and Mr Mohamed Ouziane, the Director of Cooperation, Communication and Legal Studies at the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, and Director of the Marrakech OIC Youth Capital activities. The speakers emphasised the need for a unified youth-driven platform committed to legislative coherence, empowerment, creating conditions that are necessary to have in developing legal texts and promoting shared prosperity across the OIC region.
