Following the opening ceremony kicked off in Marrakech on October 22, 2025, the participants engaged in a thought-provoking session focusing on strengthening the capacities of legal and institutional frameworks that empower youth to play an active role in shaping their communities. The panel discussion explored practical ways to build inclusive youth policies and ensure young people’s voices are reflected in national legislation. This was followed by Training Workshop I on “Civil, Political, Economic, and Social Rights of Youth,” which delved into how the legislations across the Islamic world address youth rights from multiple perspectives. The insights gathered will serve as a cornerstone for the Marrakesh Declaration on Youth, which will be submitted to the forthcoming Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers (ICYSM) for endorsement.
