CALL FOR APPLICATION “ONLINE VOLUNTEERING TRAINING”

 

Training Timeline

  • 1st part of the training will be on 18 – 22 May 2020
  • BREAK / 24-26 May 2020
  • 2nd part of the training will be on 27- 31 May 2020

 

BACKGROUND

The Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) announces “Online Volunteering Training” programme to equip young people with practical knowledge and guidance to help and support communities during pandemics, natural disasters, and humanitarian crises.

As the world is going through unprecedented change, everyone needs to join their efforts to work collectively and support each other during these difficult times. Volunteerism is the crucial and significant solution at this very moment to bring people together and mobilize them accordingly where the help is needed the most.

 

OBJECTIVES

  • Promoting online volunteerism and its best practices during pandemics
  • Empowering young volunteers on the ethical values of volunteers
  • Providing wide array of trainer profiles from diverse international organizations
  • Establishing effective network and its online community among young volunteers
  • Providing interactive learning atmosphere to share experiences, lessons learned on volunteering work
  • Empowering youth lead organizations on volunteering management
  • Sharing available volunteers’ opportunities at the global level from various international organizations

TRAINING FORMAT AND TIMELINE

  • The training programme will be combination of theoretical and interactive sessions and conducted via online gathering platform as webinar session.
  • Timeline:
    • 1st part of the training will be on 18 – 22 May 2020
    • BREAK / 24-26 May 2020
    • 2nd part of the training will be on 27- 31 May 2020

*** The online platform and its technical information pack will be shared with the selected participants. 

 

CERTIFICATE

  • Full attended participants will be awarded with a certificate issued by ICYF and programme partners.

 

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Citizen of an OIC Member State or representative of a Muslim community in a non-OIC Member State
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Age between 18–35
  • Volunteering background (article, project, photo, video etc.)
  • Involved in/or have coordinated volunteering related project
  • Leaders with impact in his/her local community
  • Passionate and responsible to attend the full online training programme

 

SELECTION

Selection Committee will evaluate the applications based on eligibility and criteria, if the committee decides for further information can set online interview as the last stage of selection. 

Selected participants will receive an email confirmation with online program details. Due to a limited timing, there will be not an opportunity to inform those who were not selected. The general information on selection results will be posted at ICYF and Social Media accounts

Important Note: Only selected participants will be informed about the eligibility of their applications.
